Half day & sprinkle photography

Today we had a half day like every Wednesday, and the weather surprised everyone by being super rainy in the morning and super sunny in the afternoon. I went to a friend's house after school to hang out & study, and we saw a picture idea on Pinterest... Which resulted in us doing this: 

Which I think is really neat. :) 

Friday & "sportferie"

Today was the last day of school for two weeks! It was super fun because all the teachers really didn't want to do anything, so we had a bunch of easy classes. And after school I went to give my friend her report card, but I got a bit lost along the way and ended up taking about 45 minutes longer than I should have to get to her house... In the freezing cold wind. Oh well. When I got back my grandma made me hot chocolate:)

Tomorrow Aunt Claudia, Uncle Ralph, Dominic, Lara, and I are going to a ski place for one week of the two weeks of vacation we have from school. I'm really excited!

Weekend

This weekend was the first weekend of summer for my cousins:)

On Friday my friend and I went thrift shopping. We got a little bored... So we imitated the birds above us.

Then that evening I made a Wahe with my grandma, it turned out very yummy.

 I tried to take a selfie with her, and this is what happened:

On Sunday we went to Schaffhausen, a town about an hour's drive away from Adliswil. There was an old monastery there, and about 40 volunteers were living there like people used to 400 years ago. It was amazing.
There was also a museum, and Gage really liked the parts where he was able to try on actual armor. Like chainmail:

The best part of the day was watching people actually jousting. There were about 8 people from various places around the world who came specifically for the jousting. Jousting is their (very expensive) hobby, and they used correctly made armor, lances, and swords, exactly like a long time ago, when tournaments such as this one were held in exactly the same spot.

Language class

So apparently my German language class started today, although I thought it started next week, not the day after we got back from Rome! 

I got up early and took the train to Zurich, where I met with my group, then took the tram to the "Clubschule Migros", where we got sorted (Harry potter reference) into a beginner and an intermediate group. Yay for me I'm in the intermediate group:)

We then had a short lesson and took the train to Bern, where we met with a group learning French and went on a scavenger hunt for fountains. My group got done early so we wandered around and found a giant chess set:

We then took the train back to Zurich, then I came back to Adliswil on the train. My friend fell asleep:

End of the Year

All of a sudden everyone has literally gone crazy. I swear.

We only have one more day of school left, so naturally everything that didn't get done during the school year absolutely must get done now. Asap.

So yesterday I went to church choir practice for the first time, and we had some cake... It was pretty awesome. And before I left, some people gave me cards. I opened then when I got home, and I was super touched that the wonderful people in that choir decided to give me some jewelry and some money (?!). It was super sweet, and totally unexpected. So that was fun...

Then today was the second-to-last day of school, so in all of my classes we either took tests or partied. We had a breakfast party in Choir, that was awesome...:) Hey, but it's Friday!!!

Tonight I get to hang out with Katie, and tomorrow I get to have a party with all of my old grade school friends to say goodbye. Only eight days until we leave!

Summer weather!! (Not really)

It's Friday!! It seems like this has been a really long week... Only 11 days left of school!

After our "fitness day" in P.E. today last period (basically a day where we run the entire period) my friend Kayli and I were super tired and exhausted, so naturally we decided to go jump into a lake. In Montana. In May. When it can either be snowing or be as beautiful as it has been the past few weeks. 

Let's just say it was cold. Very cold.

But it was also super fun. Afterwards we watched movies and ate pizza and talked about school and stuff:)It was awesome. I hope this pretty weather continues!
