Zurichhhhhhh
Today I did laundry and homework and I went and wandered around Zurich and drank coffee with Lara and another girl named Leonie. It was fun, and there was a mild blizzard on the way home and Lara and I got a little snowy. :) But Zurich was gorgeous, as always. (Photo creds-Lara & editing-me)

Wow time to bundle up
This morning there was finally a tiny bit of snow on the ground, and when I was walking home I got caught in a lil storm. It was wonderful. Seriously. Everyone I saw was all bundled up like it was really cold when it was actually around 34 degrees Fahrenheit and the snow wasn't really sticking to the sidewalks. Silly geese. Come to Montana and experience a real winter.
Tomorrow we don't have Biology! Free period:)

Ice sculpture
Today I went up on the Albis-the mountain that is near where I live-with my grandma. It's 60 years since the seilbahn (gondola-ski lift thingy) opened, and so they had a day where you could go up to the restaurant and get free hot drinks and watch this guy carve an ice sculpture. The ice sculpture thing was really cool.
It won't stop snowing here, which makes me really happy. Is it weird that I missed being cold? Probably. Oh well. It was lots of fun and I got to spend some quality time with my grandma. :)

SNOW
So it finally snowed here. Up in the Alps there's almost always snow, but down in the valleys it's a bit rarer. It was so wacky not having a white Christmas, but yay now there's snow!!
Tomorrow I'm going to the circus with Lara (Christmas present from my aunt & uncle)! I'm excited!! 😊

Umbrellaaaaaa
Today I had a half-day of school (like every Wednesday) and it rained the whole day. :/. My grandma decided that for my birthday she would buy me a new umbrella, so today we went umbrella shopping. So exciting, I know. But I actually found a really cool one... :)
Also, when we were in Zurich I noticed a bunch of things hanging from the buildings and I asked my grandma about them. Apparently Zurich gets all lit up with Christmas lights during the holiday season. I'm so excited for Christmas already... Is that weird? I can't wait to see what these look like lit up though!
Tonight was a holiday called "Rabelichten", which means " turnip lighting", which means that you carve turnips (kind of like pumpkins in the U.S. But different-see the post "Happy November!" for details) and you walk through the streets where the streetlights are turned off with the lit turnips, and it looks really cool. It was super fun, even though it was raining nonstop all day today-it even snowed a teeny bit tonight! (This is a group of kids holding their turnips-you can't see it very well)
