Spain Day 4!

Today we got up early & walked five minutes down the hill to the Alhambra, which is basically the ruins and restored gardens of the old palace. (Where Queen Isabella lived!) The gardens were absolutely stunning, 

and the palaces were so ridiculously detailed I couldn't properly appreciate it after a while because it was just too much.

Basically, imagine this ^ times a million and you're about there. 

Then after lunch we hopped on a bus and drove to the other side of the city, then walked down through a zillion tiny streets into the middle of Granada. It was pretty fun, and we learned (among other things) about houses that are labeled as "Carmens". In order for a house to be able to carry the title of Carmen, it has to fulfill some requirements. Some of those include having a garden (with both useful plants-like herbs or lettuce-and decorative plants-like daisies or roses) and having an inner courtyard. I thought it was pretty cute. 

After the tour we convinced my aunt & uncle that we needed ice cream. I have never had such a giant cone in my life. It was beautiful. Snickers & stracciatella ice cream=heaven.

Something neat:

I took a picture of the view from the Alhambra across Granada to the other side, and then later today I took another picture of the view from the other side of the city across to the Alhambra. The red is where the other picture was taken!

Easter Monday

Today we didn't have school again! Yay!

I spent the day playing piano, doing homework, skyping with two friends, taking pictures,

and helping my grandma with the computer. She proclaimed multiple times that checking her email was quite complicated and she has written down all the steps so that she doesn't get confused... First opening Firefox, then typing the web address of her email provider, then typing her password, then going to the inbox of her email. It's pretty adorable. 

It's basically spring

Today was gorgeous and sunny. There were birds tweeting and flowers blooming. It's only the beginning of March??? *shrugs confusedly*

Piano Lesson:)

Today I had my first piano lesson in half a year! The teacher was super nice, which makes me excited to see what new pieces I can learn this semester. To get to the music building, however, I have to walk up a hill... And today I noticed how gorgeous the field under the building looked. A zillion little purple flowers are growing and they look so cool from far away. 

But we also had p.e. today... And we played volleyball for two periods. My arms aren't used to that, so they got all red and I'm pretty sure the little spots are burst blood vessels. Fun, right?

Super eventful Monday!

Today I got up early and had an uneventful day... School, homework. That's pretty much everything. Except that it was 72 degrees Fahrenheit and I was wearing long jeans. That was not cool.

Weekend

This Saturday Oma & Opa and mom & Gage & I went on a boat tour of three lakes with one of Opa's old friends. It was fun, but I had to get up early, which ws not fun. 

I was also bored before dinner so I collected some flowers and put them in a vase-

Then on Sunday I slept in (yay!) and then went on a walk/swim with Lara and her friend and her dog. It was lots of fun:) 

Then we had Dominic over for dinner, which was fondue. Yum!

I also got to skype 3 of my good friends, which was wonderful. <3 you guys!
