cotton candy clouds
Today was an average school day, except it was super windy all day. Like super windy. Which made for gorgeous clouds! Here are a bunch from today. I love the sky. :) (all unedited!)

Everyone has the plague
Today we had regular school but 6 people were gone sick. That's a bit more than a third of our class, which was weird. But it was a nice day anyways, and after school I took pictures with these adorable Easter egg candles that my grandma has and did homework. Everyone already has spring break! Ours doesn't start for another three weeks...

Sunday Funday
Today I did homework and went running and took a few photos. It was a very quiet and relaxing day. The only day this week that I got to sleep in, sadly. The next few weeks are going to be crazy busy with tests and a concert and Easter and a relatives birthday and a sleepover and spring break! Yay! But here's my favorite pic from the mini self-portrait shoot thingy I did today. :)

Happy Birthday, Dominic!
Today was a half day, and I went running with Lara and ate cake with Dominic for his 17th birthday:) It was a good day.
Also, if you are under the age of 30 and/or have access to the Internet, you most likely know by now that Zayn Malik officially left One Direction. I am having so much fun going through literally any social media site and seeing posts and videos of girls absolutely freaking out.

Strawberries & sunsets
I sound like a broken record because in almost every post I mention the weather. My excuse: I walk to and from school every day, so I really notice the weather, and there are a lot more sunny days here than in Montana, so I appreciate them more. Therefore I am again going to say that today was absolutely gorgeous.
I've also been getting more and more interested in photography, and I want to maybe start a blog for just my pictures. I'm not 100% sure yet. :) But anyways, here are some cute strawberries we had for dessert today, and a shot of the sunset because I liked the clouds.
By the way, it's the 31st anniversary of the day that the Breakfast Club kids met for detention!

Cinderella
Today I just hung out at home and did homework and helped my grandma with the computer. She now knows how to operate the simple functions of word and I'm proud of her. :)
This evening I went and saw Cinderella with Lara and Cecilia. It was good and basically exactly how you'd expect a fairy tale movie to be. I liked it.

Oma's birthday!
Today was my Oma's birthday! She received two visitors, seven phone calls, and a lot of cards. Grandma is popular. :)
She wants to buy a MacBook, and I get to be her advisor/teacher in the art of computering. I thought since we had already looked at the computers on the Apple site and she had picked one, we would just go in, buy the laptop, and go back home. I was wrong. We spent a good hour talking to the poor assistent and then she decided she still needed to think about it. Oh well.

Solar Eclipse
Today was another gorgeous day, and I got to taste my first Osterchuechli. (Easter cake) A pretty important event. Just kidding. But it's a specialty that's only available around Easter, so that's pretty special...
Also, there was a partial solar eclipse today! It was really neat to see. I tried to take a picture through a lens, but it didn't really work out.
Tomorrow is my Oma's birthday! We are going to go shopping for a laptop for her, and in the evening go to a play.
Tonight I Skyped with my mom and we talked about colleges and SATs and ACTS and whatever all the rest of the tests are called... How does one even pick a college??

Spring!
Happy Thursday!
Today was gorgeously sunny & warm, and in so excited it's almost springtime. :)
Also, normally when I come home at 6, the sun has already set and it's dark & creepy out. But not anymore! Yay for sunshine!
Here's a picture that I took the other day. I really like the perspective.

Wooo spring!
Technically I Skyped with Stephanie this morning... At 1 am.
Today was a half day, and it was absolutely gorgeous weather.
I spent my afternoon going running with Lara and doing math. The nice weather seems to have everyone in a better mood... Like just generally on the train more people are smiling. It's a nice change after a grey winter. :)

4 months to go!
As of today I only have four more months until I come home!
Also: I tried to art. It went okay. I'm not very good at drawing realistically:)

Sunny day
Today was an average school day, but I went to lunch with Lara. It has been so gorgeous lately... Warm and sunny, so we went down to the lake.
Then for dinner I went over to Aunt Claudia and Uncle Ralph's:)

Exciting day
Today I basically just did homework at home most of the day. Woo! The weeks are flying by I feel like... I'll be back in Montana soon, and I can't wait. :)

Happy Pi Day!
Today is the ultimate Pi Day, because it is 3.14.15! Plus it's Albert Einstein's birthday. He would be 136 if he was alive today.
Tonight we had dinner at our neighbor's house. The little old lady was so sweet. They were amazed at what I told them about the American school system... It's very different from the Swiss one.

Friday!
I seriously do think I'm here just to schlepp water. And groceries. :)
Today choir and theater got to leave classes early to go practice in the theater all together. That did not go well at all. The theater wants to do some sort of interpretive version of the story of David (from the Bible) but with hashtags and the choir singing "hallelujah" because David got 50 million likes on his Facebook page. Um.
However, they "weren't quite done" aka they only had four pages of script and none of it memorized. So I don't know how that's supposed to work... We'll see. But anyways, we got to leave early from practice because we had run through everything:)
Tonight I got to Skype with my mom:) We talked about colleges. For three hours. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

A cat & an english test
Today we had an english test, which was fun because I didn't have to study for it:)
I also met a cat on my way home that I thought was really adorable.
I was explaining to my grandma what exactly a selfie and a mirror selfie was, and I brought up the idea of the belfie. For my parents and anyone who doesn't know, it's basically a "butt selfie", which is exactly what it sounds like. I think Kim Kardashian or someone has a famous one, which I showed to my grandma. She laughed so hard. Good times. Good times. #educategrandmaabouttheinternet2k15

Lovely Wednesday
Today was a half day like all Wednesday's are. It was super nice weather again/still, so I went for a run with Lara and did some doodling outside.:)
My grandma informed me that I have been invited (only if I want to come, of course, there are much more interesting things to do as a teenager on Saturday night) to a dinner with the couple who lives on the same floor as my grandparents do. She insisted multiple times that of course I didn't have to come, and the sweet lady hosting had offered to bring me dinner if I didn't feel like hanging out with a bunch of old people. I was shocked. Is that what people expect from teenagers these days? I think that it would have been ridiculously sad and rude of me to turn that down just because I didn't want to hang out with old people. Of course I can spend four hours of my life with some people that I wouldn't normally hang out with. Old people love young people, I've found out. It's almost like we're another species, we have such confusing lives apparently. Anyways, I'm actually excited to go, because this lady is super sweet and I like listening to older people. Yippee!

Grandma can Internet :)
Today was gorgeously sunny, and after school I spent some time teaching my grandma how to work the computer and the Internet. Later that night she came up to me and told me that she had looked up the times a museum was open on Google all by herself. It was pretty adorable. I was proud. :)
Choir day
Technically we didn't have school today because there were Aufnahme Prüfungen (testing to be accepted into the school next year) going on. But some teachers decided it would be a perfect day to have the choir and theater practice together for the performance at the end of the year. I personally think that what the choir is singing is really nice... It's called Le Roi David, and it's all majestic with hallelujahs and the like. Most people don't like it because it's not Pop. But what the theater is doing is what I don't understand. Apparently they're trying to do some sort of modernized version of the story of David (from the Bible). This includes us singing hallelujah because David has reached 50 million Likes on Facebook, and projecting hashtags onto the stage for a background. According to my friend, the theater practiced all semester, then about a week ago decided to scrap the whole thing and start over again. I don't know what the teachers are expecting (a miracle?) but as far as I can tell it's not going to be so amazing. Oh well.
Also, I met a very photogenic cat on the way home. :)

Into the woods
Today I went with Lara and Cecilia to go see Into the Woods. It's some mashup type thing of a bunch of fairy tales. It's not amazing but it wasn't bad either. Yay for almost spring!

It's basically spring
Today was gorgeous and sunny. There were birds tweeting and flowers blooming. It's only the beginning of March??? *shrugs confusedly*

Happy sunny day!
Today was absolutely gorgeous weather-wise. I believe it said around 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit, which is really nice for March. It was so warm we sat outside for lunch:)
Today we got to go to school an hour later because our math teacher got sick, so I left the house at 9am and didn't have to be at school until 10. It's so cool to wake up in the morning and then walk down to the bahnhof and then to the tram in the morning when everything's waking up, and then again after school. I'm really going to miss so many things when I go back home.

How to Internet
Today I spent an hour teaching my grandma how to click the mouse and use the Internet. It was pretty adorable.
